INES Ruhengeri – Master of Arts in Microfinance (2026 Announcement)

MAIN is pleased to inform its member institutions and non-number institutions that, in partnership with INES Ruhengeri, it continues the implementation of the Master of Arts in Microfinance, launched since 2024 in Rwanda.

Located in the city of Ruhengeri, INES Ruhengeri is a private Catholic university hosting more than 5,000 students across several faculties.

Through this collaboration, MAIN and INES Ruhengeri offer a postgraduate program specifically designed for microfinance practitioners seeking to strengthen their expertise, develop advanced skills, and enhance their competitiveness in serving clients and promoting inclusive finance.

  • On-site session (in person): 20 July – 01 August 2026

Admission Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree
  • Be computer literate

Financial & Administrative Conditions

  • A registration fee of USD 800 must be paid to MAIN only by bank transfer the beginning of the session.
  • Late registrations or registrations submitted directly to the university without copying MAIN will not be accepted.
  • Participants are responsible for arranging their international travel. MAIN will reimburse up to USD 500 upon submission of original receipts, flight coupon, boarding pass, and bank details immediately after the session. Any ticket cost exceeding USD 500 will be covered by the participant.
  • Accommodation will be provided on campus by MAIN. Meals (breakfast, coffee break, lunch and dinner) will be covered for 10 days only. Any additional days (early arrival or late departure) will be at the participant’s expense.
  • Member institutions are requested to clear their arrears of annual contribution to MAIN before attending the program.
  • Participants who fail to pay the registration fee before the session will not be allowed to attend classes.
  • Students are expected to be on campus by July 19 and are supposed to leave by August 2, 2026.

For Continuing Students (Year 2)

Continuing students must fulfill the same requirements, except for online registration. Instead, they must send a confirmation email to MAIN to confirm participation for Year 2.
 Students who fail to confirm their participation in advance will not be admitted in class.
